The atheism subreddit started this thing called the "faces of atheism" where they would post pictures of themselves they thought looked deep, with captions about how intellectuality superior they were. They simultaneously attempted to raise awareness about their suppression and started comparing themselves to literal prisoners of war and slaves with Facebook screenshots as proof.
The internet pretty much collectively had a stroke in reaction.
