I like it, it reminds me of the early days of the internet, its easy to navigate, best part is, its design doesnt slow your browser down and its not riddled with ads like every other major site these days. Just by memory i know that on the left hand side at the bottom is tcg, all the main games such as rby, hgss, are above the tcg and seperated by gen. I might be wrong but its something to that effect.

And if i remember correctly you can just type what your looking for in drop down boxes... Which in reality is better than any other dropbox ive used.

Are you done pointing out serebii's crippling flaws?

No, you can't. You can only type from the first characters... but the pokedex dropdowns for example all start with numbers. You can't type "mew" to get to mew. It's even worse on mobile.

I'm well-versed in UX and serebii is objectively difficult to navigate. You only think it's easy because you've been using it for years and don't know any better.

Its time to stop posting man. I remember what it was like to use serebii anew. It didnt take long to realize that everything was organized on the left in categories. Just googling a mon gives me serebii as the second result. So Its not like i need serebii to be "organized" or "easy" in anyone elses terms. Yes. It could be refined and upgraded to death. Bulbapedo unfortunately does do some stuff better, and it has a lot more information on it too.

Serebii IS great, but it also IS archaic. Maybe one day, it can be rebuilt so it surpasses Bulbapedo in every single possible way.

Only for insignificant minutia that nobody cares about.

Bulba is good at making it look like it has a lot of information in how they present the information. They fluff it out so an explanation of something is like 3 or 4 paragraphs whereas Serebii just gets to the cold hard facts and does it in less.

Difference is, in Bulbapedia you just type, hit enter and you're usually taken straight to the page. On serebii you have to load another page and wade through the results to find the 1 of 6 different pokedex pages for each generation.

If I need to look up something, I always use Bulbapedia.

Like why does Serebii have different pokedex resources for each generation? Bulbapedia has that shit all on one page

Bulbapedia is useful for images and quick, searchable info, as well as well categorized past info, not the newest stuff. Serebii is for the latest news and to find out about the latest games, like SPMD info (which Bulbapedia still doesn't have much on), or small obscure stuff that Bulbapedia doesn't list, like at what money tier does your Mom buy items or dolls in GSC.

Having both is pretty helpful, as anything that doesn't sound right, or seems a bit off on one site, can be easily confirmed on the other. For someone who wants to find out about all the mechanics and intricacies into how the games work, like what I need for my LPs, both sites are fantastic for fans.
