Ok guys I'll explain to you how lunaala can be a game changer. You guys know how spammable Shadow Ball is? The thing with ghost offense is that they have literally no moves above 80bp on the special side and on the physical side all you get is fucking shadow force.

IF! Lunala gets a signature special ghost move with, say, 110bp, >100 speed, around 140 sp attack (at the very least), nasty plot and focus blast for darks and normals... It is gonna wreck shit.

Doesn't matter, what really cripples it is the x4 sucker punch weakness. If enemy has any hazards or weather in play multiscale is broken and sucker punch from anything that carries it in ubers will probably kill.

Honestly levitate would probably have been a better ability than multiscale for that reason, unless the ability has some hidden effects.

I low balled Lunala's special attack (base 90) and Moongeist Beam's power (90 again) and it's still more than enough to 2HKO, which is all you really need because it impossible for Lugia to switch in. And even if it's a 1v1 situation, who cares? Lugia isn't exactly going to be doing much back anyway.

Signature moves are usually 100BP or more. If it's Ghost, then it should OHKO Lugia assuming it has decent SpA.

Lets hope the ability either reduces much more than Multiscale, or is permanent in the damage reduction outside full HP

If it has 170+satk it's either going to be in a mega or it'll be deoxys levels of frail which even multiscale won't save
Either way, it won't be near a +1 Kyruem-W level of offense without boosting itself or being insanely frail.

Shedinja was used in ubers because it hard countered kyogre, who the meta revolved around at that point. If the moon legend is good enough for a RU Pokemon to make it to Ubers JUST to counter it, then it's probably is a top-tier legend.

If it's defensive it'll be shit but other Pokemon that are garbage defensively do alright in ubers with a good movepool/offenses.

I feel like theyll make it bulky enough to survive a hit with multiscale, and then either setup or nuke something.

Hell its ability might even be a better version of multiscale for all we know.

There should definitely be legendaries that are weaker than previous ones to dampen power creep. People love to complain about power creep while simultaneously complaining about how new Pokemon aren't strong enough. It's stupid. Sucker Punch is a non-issue if it has Cosmic Power and Recover. Both are very likely considering what it is.

It comes down to a guessing game by then, and most mons would rather have Dark Pulse over Sucker Punch in that situation.

Why are people so riled up over how good they are? I thought only the smaller legendaries (e.g beast trio, bird trio, etc) were ever viable in competitive play? So why does it really matter? Personally I'm only interested in their designs, which look incredible. I'm really glad GF are coming out with good legendary designs these days, rather than oddballs like Kyurem.
