One part of me is hoping they do, and the other isn't.
There are are like 55 legendaries already, there's a fuckton of them. But one of the best things from Gen VI was looking for the legendaries.
>going to the lakes for the Lake Trio
>going to that moon spot for Cresselia
>finding Heatran in Stark Mountain
>encountering Regigigas on that cold spot
>going back for Dialga and Palkia on Platinum

I'd be cool with the box cover legends, the "3rd" legend, a trio and an event. I'm assuming the event will be Magearna, so that makes 7 total, 6 per game. Or maybe the trio can be based on the starter chosen?

Because we knew what Yvelta and Xerneas were based on, we knew Zyguard was going to be a ground snake

But what about here? do we even know for sure what Icons Sogoleo and Lunala are based on

Will it be an animal based on an eclipse?

They should really just make super rare pokemon that you can't obtain by normal means (Feebas-like.) Probably make them pseudos, but even if they weren't they don't need to keep adding to the pantheon.

Will definitely be red, probably dark fire or something. The Japanese name for Mars is literally Fire Star or Red Star.
The shadow part indicated it may be based on eclipse but I'm leaning more towards a star motif.
