Red in his game = 11 (official)
Gold in his game = 11
Brendan in his game = 12 (official, one year more than the protagonist of what happened at that time another region according to the official chronology, Red)
Lucas in his game = 12 (one year more than the protagonist of what happened at that time another region according to the official chronology, Gold)
Hilbert in his game = 14 (official)
Nate in his game = 14
Calem in his game = 17 (a year older than Emma)

At the time of XY:
Red = 20
Gold = 17
Brendan = 20

There definitely needs to be more time in between D/P/Pt and B/W. Caitlin has aged to much for her to only be 16 in B/W especially since she doesn't look any different in B2/W2.

Easy, Catleya needed to redesign because it was important to pass from DP and Pt to BW. Being in BW was not necessary to change it to B2W2, like Red and Green do not change ANYTHING in the Pokémon World Tournament B2W2 because they are fanservice.

Nobody says that happened almost simultaneously. Happens BW, 2 years later B2W2 and in less time happens XY. I say 1 year because everything fits in general if each game takes place in a different year (approximately) and transitions when nothing happens is an empty year.

RGB =/= RSE -> GSC =/= DPPt -> BW -> B2W2 =/= XY

"=/=" Is approximately one year apart, "->" is an empty year.

1996 =/= 1997 -> 1999 =/= 2000 -> 2002 -> 2004 =/= 2005

SM protags are drawn by Sugimori. May not be totally designed by him, but they are drawn by him. The lines are somewhat rough and look like they've been scanned, Ohmura is entirely digital and has very clean lines.
