I don't think they should make new animations for everyone but for some of them specially Pokemon that might have other animations with absolutely more personality (Tropius, Eelektross, Xatu... or even some megas like M-Pidgeot)
They kept many sprites in gen 5, but some Pokemon had had small changes or even a completely new sprite for these Pokemon that could be improved.
I also find silly that some Pokemon have even five animations and other ones only one or two when could have more mobility. I'm sure I would be able to make various animations for many of my favourite Pokemon.
