>>26606103I will always dislike Sound-type. Not just for the usual dumb Pokemon fan-type reasons, but because I actually prefer the current way "Sound" works mechanically in Pokemon. It's not a type, but it has a lot of common unique mechanics to the moves (being able to hit through things like Substitute) and some Pokemon have abilities that interact with them. But it doesn't function as an actual type with match-ups and STAB and so on.
Too often people focus just on types when it comes to Pokemon. Adding a new type, buffing or nerfing type matchups, changing a Pokemon's type. People rarely ever go beyond the type mechanics when doing these things and it's a real shame. Another reason to be glad Pokemon fans don't get to make the games.
