Diantha was just... there. She didn't really do much. She appeared once, said "yo, wassup" and then fucked off until the end of the game. Compare her to the other champions.

Pretty much another rival and also the leader of Team Plasma. When you fight him you're fighting for Unova itself. Iris in B2W2 is kind of a non-entity, though she does show up a few times.
All of the previous champions fucking do something for the most part.
