Pokemon have idle grounded poses for Amie that they use for gift Pokemon. If they didn't want to, they don't have to keep using the flying models in battle. So somebody must like them logically.

I doubt it's even 100ish. Some Pokemon look fine floating/flapping. It's just specific examples that are awful because they look better/make more sense standing on their legs.

That's bullshit, because the gliding animations don't even look good in sky battles, and they left in the fucking silhouettes.

The flight animations were just a bad design choice. They're inconsistent, that alone speaks to it all being an oversight.

I doubt they determined model poses based on one battle mechanic in one game. It's more likely they wanted to vary up the the model animations and decided to do Sky Battles later.

This also explains why there's a bunch of weird shit like certain Flying or Levitating Pokemon not being allowed. If they had really decided to make the models a certain way to accommodate Sky Battles, we'd only see those Pokemon who can't actually be depicted flying or levitating despite having the type or ability, like Doduo, being exempt.

I remember trying to argue in other communities about how X and Y were rushed games that could have been a lot better, only to have a bunch of idiots saying that "well if you don't like the games you should stop playing pokemon".

The game is piss easy regardless. Obviously turn the EXP share off and always just sell all my potions and revives, etc. I have status-healing items for going through caves and stuff but would never use an item fighting a trainer.

That said, it's impossible to beat the flying battles the first time you encounter them if you don't use items in battle, unless you actually grind (which I said early, no wild pokemon battles allowed only trainers)

Especially since the first flying battle has an emolga that will wreck your shit if you're using flying pokemon.
