Needless to say, if I were young and unspoiled if I ever picked someone like Rowlett and got assassin owl, I'd probably react the exact same way I did with Blaziken back then.
It's not really far'fetched for Game Freak to go into a direction like this, considering kids by the end of the day want a cool looking final evolution, one that makes every other kid go "woah" and makes the one who evolved their Popplio or Rowlett or Litten go "AWESOME".
