you beat him in the castle and his father goes off on him. Imagine one of the people you respect/trust the most telling you that you were never anything but a pawn and an instrument to be used, and now that you've been defeated you're an utterly useless, broken tool. If the game was a little more realistic, N would be curled up in the fetal position at that point, slowly rocking back and forth in a pool of his own filth.
