This is going to be my first time since Pokemon Black going into a new region game on opening day because I bought X a month late and by then all of my friends had already done everything and told me everything. But even with Black, it had been released earlier in Japan so I had been spoiled on most everything with that new region wise, too (this especially so happened to me with Sinnoh). So I want to have the best experience starting Sun and Moon as possible.

In your experience, /vp/, what makes a first playthrough of a new game best? Do you avoid all reveals about the game ahead of time? Do you only use Pokemon from the new region even if your old favorites are offered? Do you stay off the Internet until you beat the Elite 4? Help me have the best experience, because I had the oppurtunity to go in not knowing much since Sapphire.
