So I've been wondering, how many times can the same Pokemon receive damage in one turn? The most I can think of 6. I'm using Garchomp as the example:

>1. Opponent attacks; hit with recoil
>2. Rough Skin from Garchomp
>3. Rocky Helmet from Garchomp
>4. Attack from Garchomp
>5. Poison Damage from Garchomp's Toxic
>6. Buffeted by Garchomp's Sandstorm

Can anyone think of one longer than 6?

You can get even more in a double or triple battle. It's also worth mentioning that Ferrothorn can't learn a residual damage move like Wrap or Bind, that could add even more damage. I only chose it over Garchomp because Garchomp doesn't learn a multi-hit move.

Then again this is all theory because the Pokemon is guaranteed to faint by the Rocky helmet + Iron Barbs damage alone.
