it makes perfect sense. It's the "half awake" pokemon, it is prone to falling asleep easily, and so its ability reflects that it likes to sleep above all else.

I understand it's immunity from the Poison status (because Koalas eat eucalyptus leaves and they are very poisonous), but for the other statuses I guess because it's always half asleep it becomes immune to other statuses as if you were using Rest.

Immunity to status isn't really that amazing when a ton of Pokemon are immune to most status effects that would matter against them in addition to additional viability. Like Physical fire types.

Immunity to burn on a physical attacker and toxic on a wall (of which this pokemon could turn out to be either) is fantastic.

The immunities to paralysis, freeze and confusion are just extra nice. As a normal type it can already switch in for free on ghosts, but now it is also safe from the will-o-wisps they carry.

Of course it all depends on the evolution and stats, but the ability itself is fantastic on a normal type which naturally has none of those immunities otherwise. Imagine it on Snorlax.

I have SO many questions.

Is the log gonna be a Timburr kind of situation where it evolves with the Pokémon? Or is it simply a hint at a future Grass typing?

Is this a signature ability? And if so, it it the most OP one of all time?

And is it, in fact, our regional rodent? Cuz a marsupial would completely destroy that trend. We'd need a new phrase for the token Route 1 Normal type.

It definitely has some functionality, normal type and immunity to burn will be a great switch into ghosts. If it's a physical attacker then the burn immunity overall is great
