Everything looks alright to me these are the best starters weve had since gen 3 and the koala and dog look incredible.

Rotom-Dex is a unique and refreshing idea

I like the legendaries but i'm not a huge legendary person to begin with ill just box em or wonder trade.

The only thing i'm iffy on is the 100% zygarde but I love all the other forms especially the dog one

Shit, YW3 is going to have TWO different stories in one game, its battle system is getting improved, there's gonna be a shit ton of new locations, etc.

While Pokemon has what? 50 new Pokemon? 4 tiny islands? a short as fuck story where you battle some bad guy on your way to the elite 4?

Pokemon and Yokai Watch have different design philosophies. Yokais are supposed to be silly and ridiculous, while Pokemon are supposed to be fantastical animals and creatures that could believably live in a world. You can't really compare the two.

What I'm worried about is egregiously unnecessary and frankly quite annoying hand-holding stopping you every 15 minutes to dump a bunch of tutorial and exposition down your throat, when just letting me explore and interact like I want to as a player would, or at least should if the game is designed well, suffice.

Honestly, I like all the new Pokémon designs except sun lion and koala, though I'm withholding full judgment on the koala until I see it in motions, its animations could save it.

However, Hau seems like he's going to be a food-based Tierno and Rotomdex and the map marker thing makes me fearful they're going to somehow casualize the games even more than Gen VI did. Those things, combined with just how much I disliked Gen VI, don't instill a lot of hope for these games.
