Aside from extremely sophisticated AI with fuzzy logic that could make guesses and predictions, pokemon's AI would be limited to two absolute states. Hyper simplistic AI like we have now, or absolutely overbearing AI that colludes with the RNG and reads inputs. It's extremelu difficult to make an AI that adequately doesn't fall into one of the two extremes.
