eucalyptus is also very tough and damn near inedible

the koala has evolved a specialized hindgut to ferment and digest the leaves, which could've been avoided by eating literally anything else

also, eucalyptus wears down their teeth over time. the teeth do not grow back, so eventually they just can't fucking eat anymore and starve to death, the evolutionary challenged lil shits
