No, really. Insects are associated with superheroics (think Kamen Rider) in Japan because of bug fights, and Grubbin resembles a taser and is stated to love electricity.

I hope it's defensive (with an emphasis on Atk rather than SpAtk).

Bug/Electric is a really underrated defensive typing, being only weak to Fire and Rock. If it gets a lot of bulk and recovery, it'd be amazing.
