The new bottom HUD is amazing. Almost if the menusprites have their own battlefield.

Looks like Wi-Fi battles are going to have actual backgrounds too.

So fucking happy. Those two things were so ugly, and immersion killing. Now Pokémon battles feel like they're actually happening in the world you're playing in.

I like the fullness at the right end of the spectrum. The health bar getting small is a good extra visual representation of health getting low. On the other hand, the full health spectrum being larger imbues more confidence, like a puffed up chest.
