The trainer theme sounded like it had a little more goin' on. Kind of a whimsical introduction to the melody, but it seemed to get more dramatic a little further on.
That said, I liked what I could hear of the wild battle theme before we actually got clean audio of it, after which I hated it.
The rival theme sounds fun and peppy.
That's the thing though, Pokemon battle music is just lighthearted and carefree listening now. It's no longer beautiful the way it was.
