You'd be sparring with them, it's not one-sided whacking. Unless you're Bruno/Brawly/the Fighting Dojo nuts though, I wouldn't recommend it.

If anyone tried hitting a Fighting-type like in OP's pic related, the return blow would probably turn them into a wall ornament.

Makhuita is literally a punching bag pokemon and enjoys getting hurt because it makes him stronger and allows him to evolve (not sure where I read it though).

Just something to think about before you consider any physical activities with any Pokemon.

Then again, it's very clear that humans of the Pokemon world are much more able to take punishment than we are.
