>>26813100You misstate my point.
I said that listing SPEFICIF times the Pokedex is correct does not mean that it is ALWAYS correct.
Your belief is not just "The Pokedex is sometimes right"
Your belief is "The Pokedex is always right"
You have still not offered any evidence that the Pokedex is always right.
You have only offered evidence that the Pokedex is sometimes right.
Since I'm worried you won't understand, I'll give you an example to illustrate the difference between showing things that are sometimes true and things that are always true.
For example, I could post a hundred screenshots of a Ninetales that knows the move Flamethrower.
This would be good evidence that Ninetales SOMETIMES knows Flamethrower.
But, if I claimed that "All Ninetales know the move Flamethrower," that would be false. No matter how many screenshots I posted of Ninetales using or knowing Flamethrower, it would not prove that all Ninetales know it.
Hopefully you understand the difference now. So, I'll ask again:
What reason do you have for believing the Pokedex is perfect? What evidence do you have that the information collection process is completely without error?
Nothing to this effect is ever stated in-game or by Game Freak. There is no reason to believe it to be the case, and it intuitively should not be.
Unless you can prove me wrong by providing direct evidence of the Pokedex's infallibility, then your belief is baseless and unreasonable and it is no longer worth arguing with you.
