SHOWDERP: ZAREL ESCAPE: CHAMP'S LAST DONK

No.26810615 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
The second game in the Zarel Escape trilogy is all about trust. Mainly, the trust between the main character, Champ, and 8 other users, trapped in a tier called OU. There's only one way out of this tier: completing a strange, horrifying game called "Nonary game: Funposting Edition".
The rules are simple.
*Affixed to everyone's wrist is a watch, displaying a score (ELO, as it's referred to). *Everyone starts off with 1.3K ELO.
*One person is designated "Champ" at a time.
*"Champ" is given a suggested team of pokemon to use and fight through the OU ladder with.
*Fighting through the OU ladder raises or lowers your ELO if you win or lose a battle: naturally, a better team will increase your chances, and the reverse is true.
*Champ can call new team to ask for a new team after two battles, or new champ to pass the torch.
*You can escape once your ELO reaches 1.9K, through the door marked with the same number.
*This door only opens once, for 9 seconds.

*If your ELO drops to 1K, you die.

There is also the unwritten rule that you must call something new after a few battles, or else you'll be called a fag and impeached.

The game relies on trust.
Can you trust the other users (and vice versa) to ensure you'll get a good team? Can you trust the current champ to stick around and not open the door once his ELO reaches 1.9K? If you suggest a shitmon to the current champ, what's to stop him from doing the same to you and lowering your ELO?

And finally, what's the purpose of this game?
