It's one of those moments that clearly seems inspired, because i had an idea for a Ninja Frog in my mind some 4 years ago, and when Greninja was revealed and i saw the little tonguescarf detail i genuinely thought to myself: "Why did i never think about that before? It's pretty genius!".
Overall i found Gen VI to be a bit disappointing, but it's pokemon selection was quite strong, and i think Greninja is the best from the gen overall. It's just great.
