In terms of number, no.

In terms of quality? Also, no. Unova's bugs were fantastic. Galvantula is an all-time top 10 design for me.

Galvantula is probably my least favorite gen 5 bug, but that says absolutely nothing, because they're all fantastic. I wonder how many people ended up as Bug Catchers on their first playthroughs of BW.

It depends on Gamefreak's competence on attempting to diversify game options. BW was one of the most innovative generations by far and XY was a massive step back so my hopes are set in low by now.

It just tried to be the most different. Region locked mons, more effort for online shit, heavier emphasis on story. Just from a design point.

It was decent, people just love gen 5 for all the stuff you could do in it
