Anything else that doesn't revolve or enhance the core is extra content that's not necesary, and they've been experimenting in each gen where in gen 4 they tried to complement the housebuilding with mining fossils and shards so you got something out of it that complemented the core of collecting mons or currency for moves, in gen 5 they made an entire plaza for you to manage that provided you benefits for using it, but that wasn't quite housebuilding

Collecting could easily be combined with a house decoration feature though. Rather than cramming Pokemon in a PC, I always wished I could put 2-3 of them into my mom's care and have them living at home. Crystal was my first game and it was awesome saving money with mom and getting Pokedolls to decorate your room, it would be fucking cool if they brought back family features like that. I'd love to save money with mom, have her call me to say she saw a nice treat when she was shopping and bought it for [Pokemon name], and [Pokemon name]'s friendliness increased a little bit.

Exactly that. It can be caught in Fall form or traded into the game as that form. Anything bred from it is the mother's form, I believe.

They should have made a way to change yours in-game or catch them in different areas to change the form.

No feature is safe.
As evidenced by the big stuff like Battle Frontier, Secret Bases, and Underground Bases.
And the minor stuff like Pokeball animations, Run Button, and Pokemon following the player.

I honestly loved that in X and Y that you can change the bottom fighting screen, and that you can't in Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire.

In Diamond and Pearl, the bottom screen was always the same, but in Platinum, it changed to fit the top screen's background.

Worst thing is, thanks to all the cunts bitching about the BF in Hoenn, (Yes, granted, it SHOULD have been in OR/AS) if they ever bring back an old facility, it'll be the Frontier. Makes me fucking mad.

Just think about being able to rematch every Gym Leader. Updated teams, Models, Mega's, the lot.

But nope. Game Freak cant be fucked to put in that much effort. We'll be LUCKY if we ever get the Frontier back. We'd need a MIRACLE for the PWT.

You get three models for surfing, each with different speeds. Wailord (slow), Kyogre (regular), and Shar-hold-on-for-dear-life-pedo. Seriously, Sharpedo is insanely fast. It literally cuts encounter rates in half if you judge by distance because its so fast you can cross a small route before the game has time to trigger an encounter.

He's saying that they were open to reusing facilities (They also reused the Frontier in Platinum and HG/SS) but they didn't bring a GOOD one into Gen 6. Just the Maison.

The answer, sadly, is that Game Freak is just damn Lazy. PWT would have required making models for every Gym Leader ever. So they just did the Maison, and then Copy/Pasted it over to Hoenn, instead of making a Frontier for OR/AS.

Why do people prefer the PWT to BF? BF gave actual changes to the standard battle formula, something to shake it up and make it fun after an entire playthrough. PWT is just the same standard battles over and over again, the trainers and teams don't even matter since it's just an aesthetic difference versus any random trainer with a similar team.

creating yet another set of models would be so much time consuming that I perfectly understand the following gimmick returning. However, using dungeon's models which are low poly enough in addition to be animated for walking and some other things like displaying basic emotions would make this possible.

Masuda is not, no. It also had an extra year development time, which means S/M might be the first TRULY great games since B2/W2.

Masuda is leaving the franchise too, thank fuck.

Now hopefully, the rest of the developers can steer the franchise in a better direction, with less feature-removal (yes, Masuda was behind a LOT of that) and more substantial content in general.

If you cant tell, I really fucking dont like Masuda, I believe he is responsible for a LOT of the problems people complain about in Pokemon nowadays.

Just cool to see the old characters and get a status update on what they've been doing. There were also a few special tournaments like monotype tournaments , rental tournaments, and mix up or some shit tournaments. PWT was very fun, and I sank many, many hours in to it. It certainly had less options than the BF, but it wasn't just standard battles.

It also had triple and rotation battles :^). I do actually miss rotation battles though. I can't believe triple battles get more love.
