Nice team, I like when people are using underappreciated pokemon. Seaking and Magcargo are bros. What romhack is it?
Pic related is my team just after defeating Ghetsis. Levels 47-51. Id' like to add that Audino turned out to be the best mon in my party. It defeated Hydreigon, Eelektross and Bouffalant all by itsel and went from 48 to 51 in one battle. Attract gave me a lot of free turns.

hack is light platinum, it's pretty glitchy and somewhat cringy at times but it's fun
it has 2 regions and a 7 (?) trainers gauntlet at the end, where it ends at level 100, I somehow won with that team and a bunch of items
it also has too many HMs and pseudo-HMs in the second region (that are just TMs so if you delete them accidentally gg wp)
there's also another spot where you can softlock yourself iirc

Planned team for my Pokémon White masochist run. Basically where you use shitmons (usually sub-500 BST). There's obviously an inherit flaw in the fact that any Pokémon can be used ingame but it's still fun. A lot harder in BW since there is a lot of amazing Pokémon. A lot more potent however in games such as HGSS, giving you options such as Ledian and Jumpluff.

Thanks mate. Was originally going to do Simisage+Heatmor instead of Simisear+Maractus but I felt like Heatmor would have no worth since, after you get it, the only Pokémon it can do SE damage to are N's Vanilluxe/Klinklang and Ghetsis's Bisharp, all of which covered by Druddigon's Revenge/Beartic's Superpower

I'm never using Flygon again, it can't finish a fucking fight, even when it should. Keeps getting crit, constantly falls just short of 1shotting the enemy. Add to the fact i'm going to Snowpoint now, and it's easily the weakest member despite being freshly evolved.

Houndour is in the safari zone but the necessary area is probably currently blocked to you. Besides, Eartquake/Rock Slide will be a bitch. Look for some dark type that's not Mightyena otherwise.

Togepi evolves into Togetic, not Togekiss. By this logic, you should probably ditch Gastly as well. Trading with yourself is as much cheating as giving yourself the stone.

Get an Eeevee when you can and evolve it how you please. That will add variety. It's what I did (got Umbreon).

You didn't say which version this is. Iris vs Alder matters, plus the rest of the gyms.

Off E4 alone, I'd say you stand a 50% chance of surviving. Your team does not mix well to create an overwhelming force for any particular one of them. It will always be no more than one carrying most of the weight.

Eh I wouldn't say that. Trading with myself, just creates a simple alternative to something I could do if I wasn't using an emulator. Handing myself an item that is unobtainable until a certain point is certainly more straight up cheating.

You can get Scyther from the bug contest. It doubly resists Fighting type attacks. You need Aerial Ace and Technician.

It's a waste of space, which you need desperately. I brought Lugia and Entei into the E4 with my Feral, Umb, Bellos, and Crob, and only barely made it through to the end. The more you can make your HM slaves into HM gladiators, the better and easier your playthrough will be.

Which HMs are they responsible for?

If it comes off as bait then it's unintentional. It's definitely the team I'm currently using, and it's actually going an awful lot better than I thought it would. I'm a fan of Normal types, hence why I have four of them on my team, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out how hard Buneary can hit. Minccino is lagging behind a little, but I'm fond of Skill-Link Tail Slap, and once she evolves I'll have better coverage so I hope that'll make up for it.

Well Kaputops has waterfall, then a linoone and a low level spare mew I had have the rest. I just really don't like HM's, I know fly isn't a bad move but it adds to the length of battles and I'm pretty impatient with shit like that.

Thinking about ditching Kaputops since I've used him before and getting a Politoad with Psychic/Ice beam/Surf/?? and giving the linoone rock smash/strength/whirl pool/cut. Ditch the mew too, suck it up and put fly on something useful, I guess.

Make sure to swap out Swift for Wake-Up Slap at Level 31. Mareep learns Discharge at lv. 32 Switch out Electro Ball then. And consider giving your Normal type Pokemon Return. Other than that, for what you are trying to do, nothing more can be done.

You get a gold star if you looked at the E4 and Champion and calculated what you were up against. Bravo. Don't forget you need King's Rock trading to get it.

Looking at the HM list for the generation, Linoone is versatile, and you can make it work. If you take my advice and get Scyther, you can't do fly with it.

I don't know much else to say, except you obviously don't need every Pokemon you use during the journey during the E4.

No matter what you will need an extra Poke for the remaining HMs. If you get Duckett,you have Fly and Surf. If you get Basculin or Panpour, all your water needs are covered. Tympole is a third and worst option.

And I know that, but you also don't need six pokemon to beat the elite four. You can do it with four as long as you have decent type coverage and a bit of luck in some places. Definitely need something for Lance though so I think Politoad is the way to go for me. I'm not using Scyther since I've used him before, but might get a Gliscor to do the same job. Thanks for the advice, no matter how patronising it may have been.

If you have patience I recommend giving Growlithe Eviolite and holding off it's evolution until level 45, when it learns Flare Blitz. Flamethrower is nice to have as a secondary STAB if you don't want to take the recoil damage.

Make sure to make use of your Heart Scales for Minccino once you hit Mistralton.

To be fair, the only Pokemon that could evolve there is Mareep (twice, granted). Growlithe and Minccino both use stones and I don't know how early those show up in BW2, while Buneary uses Friendship which is never very easy to judge. Eevee is either-or, so same concepts apply.

Got to agree with the other guy, barring Nidoking those are some really common choices for a HGSS run. At the very least you need to drop Typhlosion and Ampharos. Unless it's your first playthrough, in which case do whatever you like.

I taught it Fire Punch in place of Crunch, Gardevoir can take care of psychics with shadow ball anyways.

I just can't get over how Flygon just keeps falling short. I've used it in W2 before and it was doing better there.

As a Trapinch it 1shot Maylene's Lucario, and it's been downhill from there. I'm going to Mt. Coronet to deal with Team Galactic soon, here's hoping it doesn't get screwed over by bad luck. I'm honestly just really salty over that crit, maybe this thing's just trained badly

Still though, they're shitmons with shit speed (love em all to death anyway though, this is a Karenfag run), so I gotta level them up so they can actually land some hits before the game's RNG fucks me in the ass.

I just love him so fucking much, though. So I'm gonna make him work. Got Toxic and Protect on him for some tanky/troll strats (plus Flamethrower and Fire Blast for when he's not guaranteed to get 1-shotted by a surf or EQ).

Exp Share on him makes him higher level than the rest of my team, which almost makes him viable.
