Tapukoko is most likely based on Kū, the Hawaiian God of War. It should have been either Fighting or Dark because of this, not Fairy.

Fairy type is pretty clearly used for multiple interpretations. It is similar to psychic in that regard, often being related to magic, space, and actual psychic abilities. You guys need to loosen up.

Best Pikachu clone so far.
It's like gen 1 Pikachu - a chub, huggy rodent with a simple/clean design.

All the other Pikachu clones are weirdly oblong and(or) over designed. Even Pikachu is drawn way more lean now.
