I dont even know who the fuck that anon is talking about, but it seems the most logical explanation as of now. There's clearly SOMETHING going on with these "new moves", and it sounds like theyre going to be tied into those bracelets. Also remember, there's supposedly a fifth move slot available.

If it's somehting like >>26931112, a single use/highly limited, powerful move that acts as a final attack, that'd be ideal in my opinion. Pretty cool too, actually.

That seems to imply that the special move will be species specific to some degree, obviously onlyZygarde will have the Z-laser. I assume you'll only be able to have 1 pokemon unlocked per team, similar to Mega evolution.

It'd be an interesting balance element that way. Pokemon that dont get Mega's, but are on the weaker side, could be offset by a powerful finisher move.

This is the most likely scenario. It's definitely not a normal 5th move you can use whenever because there's no room on the screen for it.

desu the first thing that came to mind was that random leaker a few weeks back that heavily emphasized the introduction of ordinary, non-HM moves being usable in the overworld to solve puzzles/progress similar to the Regi-Trio cave puzzles in RSE. I wish I had a screenshot of the rest of his ideas because they were all vaguely plausible iirc.

It all gives you better stats. You will has stats equivalent to mega evolutions and have a special move. This will work on any Pokemon with a strong enough bond. The Pokemon will have and aura around them. The Pokemon can only use their special move once. The power up lasts 5 turns.

this was posted before we saw that trainers standing behind their pokemon was a feature in the game, and as far as speculation goes, not many people were really thinking about this at all, let alone discussing it. It's a specific, subtle and nuanced example that was given and far from a 'no-brainer' obvious addition.

This. It seems like there will be powered up versions of moves, which will explain the apparent fifth move slot in some screenshots. It might have some conditions for use.

Maybe the new Pokemon will all get some signature moves, i.e. pic related for Vikavolt, some kind of electric spike for Sonichu, a five hit flying move for Pikipek, etc.

I figured Rockruff was the early route canine that sometimes happens like Lillpup or Poochyena. I'm assuming there won't be an early route feline (Purrloin/Shinx) since Litten exists.

You can get Geodude right away in Gen II. I don't think an early Rock type is overpowered in any way. That's why Rock has been used a few times as the first gym.
