It's just that, when she's put together with Popplio like this image for example here

How does a tiny sea lion cub which is presented as frivolous and snorts balloons out of its nose in the site turn into something this elegant?
I know, I know, we already had plenty of starters that looked different from what they used to, but as much as I try, she feels too out of place when you try to see it as Popplio's final evolution.
And where did the hair even come from? And Popplio just loses his ears and gets them replaced with starfish? I guess I shouldn't be thinking too much about it considering we don't even know NOTHING about the middle evolutions and how they start to look like.
And honestly, it just feels like people just want her either to "redeem" Popplio for whatever reason or due to its typing that just so happens to be the type combination with the least weaknesses.
Either way, she's fine on her own, I just usually don't tend to pick pokemon like her because I just prefer sillier looking mons. And the few times I picked elegant mons just because, I'd just get bored of them.
