If we got a Ghost-type equivalent to Draco Meteor or Overheat, Ghost would be the new spammable type. Additionally, its weaknesses are to Dark and Ghost-type moves... Dark-types have been nerfed significantly defensively, so now we have the same situation as Dragons in Gen 5 with nearly no resists, only type hitting it super effective is itself and coverage moves. The only reason it's not a perfect analogue to Dragon-types is because Ghost-types tend to have low bst compared to dragons.
