They said at E3 they do plan on adding them all in at some point, but they only went with the first Gen for now because it's the 20th anniversary. They'll most likely replicate the Generations and release them in waves.

The reason why its not out in the US and other regions yet is because of both (Google Play and AppStore have weird time differences). I forgot the source but you can look it up. But all I remember is that it'll release in the US 16 hours after its New Zealand release.

I've had it since about 1200 here (it's now 1812) in the UK, I sent the download link to my friend and my cousin, they both seem to be able to play it. Since then I walked about.. an hour total and got 20 pokemon, live in a large town though

Could be it can only be logged in via a trainer club account. Also I can confirm you the part about the gyroscope, every smartphone has one. Unless the game requires a compass, which isn't a part of standard equipment on some low-end phones.

I've found that the Pokémon around you is based on your geographical location. It uses the same system as Ingress, in which it divides the region into cells, and if you remain in one of these cells, you generally get the Pokémon within them.

Niantics used this system in Ingress for regional scores.

When i first logged in, i got my squirtle and then i found an Oddish. The game froze when i tried to catch it and now it stays as pic related. When i try to use an incense it says "failed to detect location".
