I'm new to Pokemon and want to know where to start.

I looked for a sticky with a wiki or something but found nothing. If I missed it, I apologize.

Any suggestions as to where I should start would be greatly appreciated.

Also, is Pokken Tournament recommended if I don't have a Wii U? I mean is it worth buying one for it?

On that note, should I get a 3DS too?
