Hey folks, learned some things playing Go with my friend and figured I'd share.
Catching Pokémon gets you 3 of their family's candies. Transferring gets you one. Hatching them from an egg gets you 25, I believe.
You've secured a lot of gyms but aren't sure what the purpose is? Go to your profile on the bottom left. To the left will be coins with Pikachu on them, click those. On the top right will be a shield icon. Every 21 hours you can collect Pika coins based on your Pokémon on gyms, at a maximum of 10. Spend those on different items. I'd suggest the inventory backpack increase first.
Can't find high level Pokémon? Honestly, they're not going to spawn at a regular until your at least level 12, so here's what you do:
Collect Eevees. A lot. Anything below 250CP transfer them and get the candy. Anything above 250CP will get you at least a 500CP Eeveelution, probably more. Now you have an awesome min 500CP Eeveelution, go to town, take some names.
The best part? Eevee only cost 25 candies to level, and are pretty easy to farm in residential areas.
Stuff I don't know: sometimes above a Pokémon's weight with be a bubble with "XS" or "XL". Does this effect the quality of the evolutions?
