Story rushed on XY? U fucking what? Have you played it? They not only expanded upon the Pokemon war we've heard about in Lt surges gym and the locario movie which serves as worldbuilding, but we saw a man manipulate alchemy to give himself the souls of many men lost, to bring his dead fairy back to life while at the same time attempting to essentially hit the hard reset on a war which was devastating people and Pokemon country-wide, we saw a band of beginner trainers resolve to always stick together (a weaker element I'll admit), and we saw how becoming champion really makes you the champion, a parade in your honor
Post game? Catch zygarde, do the battle Maison, I mean it's not like Pokemon ever had skyrim amounts of content, XY is no different that Ruby and Sapphire in terms of that, and nobody seems to complain about that, cause it doesn't matter
And difficulty? Are you kidding? Sure the exp all is an easier way to gain levels but I had a blast - the game is supposed to make you feel like a special snowflake, between maxing out your amie points on a particular Pokemon and levels, you really are a Pokemon prodigy for what feels like the first true time in the whole franchise, and I've been playing since it first came to this country
