i had this problem repeatedly even after killing & restarting. i had to uninstall and reinstall it a couple of times. reboot too after uninstalling to be extra safe

I've done this, also it says GPS location can't be found. I've done everything reddit told me to and there doesnt seem to be any fix

It might be your phone/tablet, not the app itself. I just troubleshooted my phone a couple hours ago and it finally worked after I had downloaded it on Wednesday.
