Its real issue is they didn't build from Emerald, probably because of some some dumb thought process like more people experienced the Ruby and Sapphire version of Hoenn and to build from that for nostalgic purposes, which HGSS wouldn't really have that "problem" as Johto in Crystal was pretty much the same as GS Johto in the first place. Sadly DP remakes will probably be the same, though at least personally I don't give a shit about Sinnoh's shitty Frontier unlike the GOAT Emerald one
and I actually prefer the main adventure in DP to Platinum.BW1 was shit anyways so if they remake it it'll still probably be shit. If they chose to remake BW2 it'd probably be fine. But I think they would be sooner to make a BW3 or BW0 or something instead of facing the dilemma of whether to remake BW1 or BW2.
