>>27081076That's how it works in the normal games. At some point you'll need someone for surf/fly/etc and you usually end up bagging some random new water/flying type which ends up becoming your bro 4 life.
When we were kids and first played Pokemon, certain designs grew on us as we used them in battle, and they gradually became our favorites. The newer Pokemon games go through the same process. Bag some Pokemon, they grow on us, they become our favorites.
Some people are too insecure and only want to go through that process once while they're toddlers.
