Sure, in VGC. But even there Salamence is only marginably worse. Salamence is literally the GOAT in 6 vs 6, both singles and doubles.

First move dragon dance break multi scale, then mega evolve drizzle boosts aqua tail, aqua jet, 100% accuracy stab hurricane and 100% acc thunder. Can still abuse the dance for dragon claw, outrage, eq, espeed, thunder and ice punch. I'd like to see the dratini line get coil soon!

Well Mega Ray is actually the best mega. IT's so good it got banned from a banlist.

But Megamence and Megamom are about equal in second best mega. Megamence does better in singles and 6v6 format while Megamom does better in 4v4 format.but even then Megamence is just slightly worse in the 4v4 format.
