There is a fucking feature on 4chan that gets used in nearly every post, it is referring to as quotes or greentext.
It is one of the most iconic features on the site.
There is absolutely NO reason to use quotation marks AT ALL unless you wish to do so inside of greentext, or to imply that what's in quotations marks is phony, example being:
He made an """""argument"""""
See, that is the only reason you should be using quotation marks on 4chan.

Greentext exists and should be used for the purpose of quoting something in an above post, or relaying something that happened.
