We now know that 3 out of the 8 gems is Grass, Fire, Water, possibly Electric due to Pikachu screenshot, and/or Rock because of "secret" mentioned with Rockruff.
Question is: What are the other gems' types?

I wonder if they did basically retcon the type gems, see how only Normal Gem is avaible in all gen 6 games.

They might be also one time use but not extremely hard to find in the region just like in Unova.

From powering up a tyoe attack to a somewhat new game mechanics aspect.

I'm sure you can have multiples of each gem and store them, but you have to pre-load the gem itself before battle based on your team.
