Why would you waste your time pretending to be a youtuber?
Anyway, the stuff Gnoggin points out about mythological similarities to pokemon are a little more than coincidence. Most every pokemon has several influences that go into them. Those influences go farther than their appearance too, even digging deep into the lore of them, especially the legendaries. See how Lugia and Ho-oh relate directly to real life events in Japan, or how Arceus is based on a multitude of different creation story deities.
It's not too farfetched to imagine that the writers at GF who have passed these inspirations off as nuance, are looking for a way to bring it all together in the end.
Granted, a few of his correlation are a little shaky, but he understands that.
The over-arching pokemon lore is based on life-energy, no doubt. Alchemy and the laws of equal exchange may not be the only thing factoring into the lore there, but I'd be incredibly surprised if it wasn't a large inspiration for much of their lore up until now.
If anything, to imagine that the writers created such a deeply weaving lore makes the pokemon world that much more exciting and arcane. :]
