In all seriousness, it does work if you have a microwave that can spin the tray without actually microwaving. I don't think newer microwaves have that feature, since it's useless, but old-ass ones would sometimes have the timer disconnected and tray disconnected from the actual microwaving mechanics.

Yes.
It works because the microwave alters the GPS signals coming in and out of the device
The GPS, like all wireless equipement works with microwaves

It depends on your phone, try both. I did just the spinning and it didn't work for me, but it worked for my friend. The heat is what did it for me, but I have a shitty phone, so i don't know.

It's not a big enough distance for the GPS to care.
