Why doesn't Gamefreak just get rid of Raichu? It's clear they hate it and will at some point give Pikachu a mega.

What I actually don't understand is why they didn't take the opportunity of shilling Pikachu so hard to make Raichu badass too. It'd make Pikachu less detestable to the people who hate it, because at least it evolves into something good, while not detracting from the appeal of Pikachu itself (cuddly cute mascot). They can keep showing favoritism without throwing Raichu under the bus.

That isn't how light ball works, it's base attack and special attack are very similar to Deoxys-A's with the light ball.

Raichu gets better bulk and can actually survive

Light ball is useless when you have Nasty Plot and can still have a hold item

Raichu is really useful in Doubles due to lighting rod

As well as being a faster fake out user than Infernape and Mega Kangaskhan

They should have just made Raichu Dedenne's evolution so he could finally get love, and no I don't give a fuck if it ruins the number count of Gen 1.

I played the games when they came out as a kid running around on the playground with my Gameboy, the original 151 cane become 100 for all I care as long as they actually fix shit and move deserving shit around.
