Of course past megas will be carried over, but it's yesterday's fad. Synchro is the hot new power up now. This is the biggest reason I dislike megas. It opens the door to an endless line of flashy transformation gimmicks that will inevitably be dumped and one-upped by the very next generation.

All we've seen so far is the super moves. Besides that, Pokken's Synergy is much more likely since it would be so much easier to implement, and still allow new Megas to be created.
