So is Psychic, Fighting, and Dark. Or Electric, Water, and Ground. Or Flying, Grass, and Rock. There are plenty of type triangles, so why always Fire Water or Grass? I think it'd be interesting to be given 3 different typed starters

Grass/Fire/Water is the only triangle that is x2 effective in one direction, and ½ effective in the other direction. With dark you have an immunity involved which creates imbalance.
Flying/Rock/Fighting is almost as good as the classic triangle, but it doesn't have a perfect reverse triangle as well.
If Rockruff is a starter and Litten gets fighting type, we'll have this triangle.
