I somewhat can understand giving it Whirlpool... and just somewhat since you could easily get a Lapras, Slowbro and of course the Red Gyarados as a secondary water user to not overload a single Pokémon with the HM.

Bulbasaur. Mostly always chose him just cause there were virtually no other Grass types that I liked. But I always ended up with a dope Venusaur.

Cyndaquil a cute. I always thought it was awesome he could learn a non-fire type move that could take out water types and shit.
