C'mon guys. I know it's not the pumpkin pokémon you wanted, but Gourgeist is still neato to the max.

You're exactly right.

Game Freak usually does pretty well at subverting expectations when it comes to a theme. In Gourgeust's case it worked out pretty well.

Goregeist's design is it's saving grace, if it didn't have a fantastic design, it would've been an objective failure as a pokemon.

It needs to swap its Attack and SpA stats, and get either Flash Fire or Flare Boost as its abilities (Pick up can stay, it's fitting). Seriously, just do that and this becomes a great pokemon.

Why Game Freak sabotaged this thing is beyond me.
