Mega pidgeot and shits okay, but it would make it a bit hard to enjoy the main games and accept the world of Pokemon itself? If making shit mons better with megas became a trend

I can't think of anything they could do aside from either a) big defensive buff, b) give it even MORE attack and a speed buff, or c) retcon Zen Mode to make THAT M-Darmanitan.

A and B would arguably break the pokemon and C, while a good idea, will never happen. Nor will Zen Mode ever be a split evolution. They kind of just want to forget it exists.

I feel like it's hard to immerse yourself in the actual game if you're aware that elements of the game exist solely to appeal to people/scenes
