Okay, so long story short my brother sold me his 3ds with the original rby games on it. I can't trade to myself, but does pokebank support transferring pokemon from these games to one another or is that not a feature for them?

no pokebank. apparently you can transfer to sun/moon but otherwise, you need a second 3ds to trade locally with.

Pokemon Bank should work with RBY once SM comes out. It'll be all in one update.

Trust me, I've been wanting to restart my copy of Yellow for months... but you gotta wait until SM comes out.
